How 2 Make a Blogger Smile

I am not new to blogging. I have written blogs for businesses, for websites, and a few personal ones as well. This blog, however, is different. It has somehow gotten noticed and pulled me into the blogging community. That interest, has inspired me to write more, and that in turn, has connected me with more people. It’s a really amazing process.

Blogging is a bout reaching people. When a new blogger gets likes and comments it’s a validation of their efforts. I will give you an idea of how it feels when you see in the corner of your page that you have had some activity. It’s like a little present. Now, I don’t advertise my blog to people I know, because that is not really the audience I am looking for. And also I like the freedom of anonynmity. I can write without censoring myself. So when people like a post, it’s not my Aunt Sadie giving me accolades, it’s a totally impartial stranger. And THAT makes me smile.

Liking a post, sharing a post on the internet or making a comment are definate ways to make a blogger smile. If you connected with what they wrote and it touched you, definitely leave a comment. Comments mean so much to us. To me anyway. Would love to hear how other bloggers feel. What makes you smile?

  1. I completely agree. I am new to blogging so comments and likes LITERALLY make my day. I still find it hard to believe that so many people are interested in what little old me has to say. While the majority of my readers are strangers to me, I do have family and friends that also read my blog. But, even with them, I have been surprised to find that they have learned so much from reading despite my transparency in everyday life. SO, I smile when people like or comment or my blogs…especially when I can tell the contribution it has made to their life or knowledge bank.

  2. My blog is usually a barometer for how I’m feeling or as a kind of rambling outlet outlet for my ADHD. I guess its a kind of diary too. I’m not too bothered if anyone reads it or not, although thats because thats not really the purpose mine serves. I love to read other peoples though – that is where I find my connection. 🙂
